  • What is RAMM? [ show ]

RAMM (Risk Allocation Management Model) is a rapidly growing area in investing on the Forex market, which is based on the higher risk management and proportional allocation of profit. It is the only system, where both Traders and Investors can operate and have complete control over the acceptable level of risk, and at the same time, make their investments as efficient as possible.

    RAMM main features:

    • Weekly trading intervals and commission settlement payments.
    • Unlike PAMM, an Investor’s funds remain on their account and they can unsubscribe from a Trader at any moment.
    • Payouts for trading results. A Trader gets the commission only if the transactions copied from them are profitable.
    • Strategies are copied to Investors’ accounts with 100% accuracy regardless the invested amount.
    • No overnight fees. No swaps and commissions for rollovers.
    • The entire payment is received by a Trader. The Company charges no commission for using the platform.

    With RAMM, you also get:

    • Automatic calculation of the lot for opening the position.
    • Integrated risk management system.
    • No brokerage commission for trading volume.
    • Trading without Stop & Limit levels, the same as ECN.
    • Optimization of profit and loss.
    • Instant withdrawal of funds from the investment at any moment.

RAMM platform can be found at http://ramm.roboforex.com. To log in to the platform, click "Sign In" in the right upper corner, enter your Members Area E-mail and the password that you used when opening a RAMM account.

  • First steps in the platform [ show ]

After logging in to RAMM platform, you can:

    • Go to "Rating" section, choose a suitable Trader, and subscribe to their strategy (more detailed information about RAMM Rating can be found below).
    • Go to "My Strategies" section and create a new strategy as a RAMM Trader (more detailed information about strategy creation can be found in "Traders" section).
  • RAMM Rating [ show ]

RAMM Rating is based on a Trader’s monthly profitability. This reading is calculated using such parameters as the number of trading weeks and the final profitability of the strategy.

    Rating is updated every minute.

Rating displays the following parameters, which will help you to assess a Trader’s efficiency quite fast:

    • Profitability per month.
    • Overall profitability.
    • Number of investors.
    • Age (in weeks).

Haven’t found your strategy in the Rating table? This is because all created strategies are automatically published in "All strategies" tab when a Trader opens their first market position.

They remain there until a Trader fulfills the minimum requirements for the strategy age and profitability described in Specifications. After this, strategies are moved to the Rating table.

  • Funds withdrawal from RAMM account [ show ]

To withdraw funds from your RAMM account, you have to use the internal transfer system in your Members Area.

Please note that only the funds that are not involved into strategies as investments can be withdrawn from RAMM accounts.

    • Go to "Internal transfer" page.

For a further funds withdrawal, use the payment system that is convenient for you from the list of payment systems on "Withdrawal" page of your Members Area.

  • Restrictions [ show ]

RAMM platform has several limitations and restrictions:

    General:

    • A user is allowed to open only one RAMM account.
    • Only the funds, which are not involved into strategies as investments, can be withdrawn from RAMM accounts.
    • The funds can be withdrawn from the strategy partially, but only outside the trading interval (for example, at weekends).

    Investors:

    • A closed investment into a strategy can’t be restored. However, you can create a new investment into the same strategy.
    • The investment will start following the strategy precisely only when there are no open positions and placed orders on a Trader’ account (at latest, at the beginning of the next week after the investment is created).

    Traders:

    • A Trader can’t change the commission amount of the strategy after the strategy is created. To choose the other percentage of the commission, they have to close this strategy and open a new one.
    • Traders aren’t allowed to modify their pending orders, except for Take Profit of open positions and Stop Loss in the direction of cutting losses.
    • Positions can’t be closed partially or with opposite positions.
    • Open positions are not held overnight at weekends. All positions are closed at the end of each trading interval on Friday.
    • The prerequisite for closing the strategy is the absence of open positions and pending orders.

Investors

  • How to invest? [ show ]

To invest into a Trader’s strategy, go to "Rating" section, choose the most suitable Trader, and click "Invest" close to their name.

When creating an investment, the only thing you have to specify is the amount of money you want to invest into a Trader’s strategy.

    Features:

    • Each investment in RAMM platform implies the creation of a separate account, which is intended for copying transactions of a particular strategy. This is exactly how this account is called in the platform, "Investment". Investments are created automatically on your RAMM account and no additional actions are required from you.
    • Each investment is created with "Capital protection" feature, which is specified in the account settings (more detailed information about "Capital protection" can be found below).
    • If there are open positions on a Trader’s account at the moment when an investment is created, the copying process will start only after all positions are closed. This may be done by a Trader themselves (if they close all positions "manually") or occur at the end of the trading week, when the platform closes all positions automatically.
  • "Capital protection" feature [ show ]

"Capital protection" feature offers an opportunity to control your investment risks.

For example, the protection equal to 80% implies that after the loss of your investment into a Trader’s strategy reaches 20% during the week, this strategy will be no longer copied to your account.

    Calculations:

You invested 300 USD into a Trader’s strategy with Capital protection of 80%.
80% and 20% of 300 USD are 240 USD and 60 USD respectively.
If the loss of your investment into the chosen strategy reaches 60 USD during the week, both your and other traders’ loss limit, as well as a Trader’s one for the current week will be used up.
All positions will be closed and a Trader won’t be able to continue trading until the end of the week.

You can modify "Capital protection" feature at any moment. The higher the protection, the lower the potential profit, and vice versa. "Capital protection" may have different values for each investment.

  • Control over investments [ show ]

After creating an investment into a Trader’s strategy, you are allowed to:

Deposit funds to an investment. If there are no open orders at the moment an investment is created, the first transaction will be copied taken into account the updated investment balance. If there are open transactions, the transactions volume will not increase. The transactions will be copied without taking into account the deposited funds until the transactions are closed.

Withdraw part of the funds from your investment. This operation is only available outside the trading interval (at weekends). After you withdraw the funds from an investment, its balance should be not less than the minimal investment balance, defined in the Specification.

  • Trader’s commission [ show ]

A Trader’s commission in RAMM platform is calculated as the percentage of the profit you receive when investing into their strategy.

The commission may vary from 0% to 50% and is defined by a Trader when they create a strategy.

    Features:

    • The commission is paid to a Trader only if the investment profit is growing.
    • The commission is calculated and paid to a Trader at the end of each trading interval or when you close your investment.

The report on the paid commissions can be found on the investment details page.

  • Closing an investment [ show ]
    • An investment can be closed at any moment.
    • A closed investment can’t be restored.

When an investment is being closed, all open positions are closed at current market prices; the Trader’s commission is calculated and paid.

All active positions of an investment are closed at market price when this investment is liquidated. The actual sum of an investment, which is being closed, calculated at real prices at the moment it is closed may differ from the sum displayed on the website, because the sum on the website is based on indicative quotes, which depend on the time the page was updated for the last time.

Traders

  • Creating a strategy [ show ]

You can create a new strategy on "My strategies" page by specifying the following parameters:

    • Strategy type (RAMM or SignalsAPI. The latter type is described below).
    • Strategy name (displayed in Rating).
    • Commission rate.
    • Amount of your investment into the strategy.
  • Commission. Calculations and payouts [ show ]
    • Your commission is calculated and paid at the end of each week, when the trading interval is closed.
    • Your commission is transferred to your RAMM account.
    • Your commission is calculated for each Investor separately.
  • Modifying a strategy [ show ]

After creating a strategy, you are allowed to:

    • Top up your investment into a strategy and partially withdraw funds from it.
    • Change "Capital protection" feature of a strategy. Investors are connected to your strategy with the own protection parameters.

After creating a strategy, you can’t change the commission rate. You can create a new strategy with the changed commission rate, but remember that the history of the previous strategy is not transferred to the new one.

  • Closing a strategy [ show ]

You can close a strategy on "My strategies" page. In "Active" tab, choose the required strategy, open the side menu in the last column, and click "Close strategy".

    • A strategy may be closed only if there are no open positions and pending orders in it.
    • A closed strategy can’t be reactivated.

When you close a strategy, all its investments are closed as well, the Trader’s commission is calculated and paid, and then the money from your investment is transferred to your RAMM account.

  • SignalsAPI strategies [ show ]

SignalsAPI strategies are different from RAMM strategies, because they can be used for trading through MetaTrader4/5 platforms instead of RAMM terminal.

How to create and work with SignalsAPI strategies:

    1. Go to "Strategies" section, click "Create strategy" and choose "SignalsAPI strategy".
    2. Download the signal script and run it on your MetaTrader4/5 account:
      • Put the downloaded file into MQL4/Scripts or MQL5/Scripts folder (depends on your terminal).
      • Restart the terminal.
      • New script will appear in "Navigator".
    3. Run the script on any chart. All changes on your account will be copied to your RAMM strategy. Please note that SignalsAPI strategies are not displayed in RAMM terminal.

    When launching the script:

    • Make sure that "Allow DLL imports" box in Tools -> Options -> Expert Advisors is ticked.
    • In "Expert Advisors" tab, add the RAMM server URL to the list of allowed URLs. Add https://ramm.roboforex.com/api/signal/0/sendremotesignal to the "Allow WebRequest for listed URL" table.

Positions and orders will be copied only if the script is running. If the script is stopped, even for a short period of time, actions performed on your account will not be copied to RAMM strategy.

Terminal

  • Trading model of RAMM terminal [ show ]

The trading model of the terminal that is integrated in RAMM is different from the classic one. instead of lots and the margin, Traders operate shares of the weekly Loss limit and Stop Loss (Stop Out) levels.

The capital of each investment is divided into two shares:

    • The Capital protection, a parameter expressed as a percentage, which is set for each new investment in accordance with the value you specified in RAMM platform.
    • The Loss limit, the funds available for trading. The investment sum, which is not the Capital protection, is the Loss limit.

RAMM terminal allows to use only the Loss limit for trading. Based on the Loss limit value (and the Stop Loss level as well), the platform automatically calculates the lot volume for the position to be opened.

    Example:

A Trader opened a strategy and created their own investment in the amount of 1,000 USD with the Capital protection of 80%. In this case, the Loss limit will be 20%, i.e. 200 USD.

A Trader opens a position with 10% of the Loss limit (20 USD) and specifies the Stop Loss level.

A Trader opens a position with 10% of the Loss limit (20 USD) and specifies the Stop Loss level.

Similar calculations are made on accounts of all Investors, who are connected to this strategy.

Let’s assume that 2 investors invested into a strategy. The first one invested 500 USD with the Capital protection of 50%, and the second one – 50,000 with 90%.

Let’s calculate the Loss limit for each of them:

    1. The Loss limit is 50% (100% - 50%), i.e. 250 USD. The share of the Loss limit for this strategy is 250 * 10% = 25 USD.

    2. The Loss limit is 10% (100% - 90%), i.e. 5,000 USD. The share of the Loss limit for this strategy is 5,000 * 10% = 500 USD.

  • RAMM trading terminal [ show ]

Only the web terminal, which doesn’t support price history charts, is available for trading on RAMM (not SignalsAPI) strategies. The terminal page will be available only after a RAMM strategy is created.

The terminal displays the information on the transaction made during the current trading week. Each line shows the information on one transaction/order:

    The fields mean the following:

Number A unique number of the transaction.
To read more information about the transaction, click the number.
    Symbol Transaction/order instrument.
    Type Transaction/order type.
    SO Stop Out level.
    SL Stop Loss level.
To change it, click this field.
    TP Take Profit level.
To change it, click this field. To remove it, type "0" in the field.
Swap Rate of swap, charged for a positions.
Price The current price of the instrument for open positions or the closing price for closed positions.
Profit (Profitability) The ratio between the profit (loss) of the transaction and the transaction risk.
When the transaction is closed by the Stop Loss, the profitability will be minus 100%.
Profit (ep) The profit (loss) of the transaction in efficiency points.
1 efficiency point is the asset price change by 0.01%.
Profit (p) The profit (loss) of the transaction in points (pips).
Share (%) The share of the Loss limit.
Income (%) The ratio between the profit (loss) of the transaction and the weekly Loss limit.
    <Income> = <Profit (profitability)> * <Share>

    Information below the table:

    Available Currently available share.
Profitability The ratio between the total financial result of all transactions over the week and the weekly Loss limit.
Open The ratio between the total financial result of open transactions and the weekly Loss limit.
  • Leverages and margin requirements [ show ]

Depending on the value of "Capital protection", the maximum efficient leverage for open positions is:

    Capital protection Maximum leverage
    90% 1:100
    75% 1:250
    50% 1:500
    25% 1:750
    10% 1:900

There are no margin requirements in RAMM platform. Instead, the platform uses such terms as "Share" (Percentage of the Loss limit used when opening a position) and "Available" (Percentage of the Loss limit that may be used for opening new positions).

More detailed information about the Loss limit can be found in "Trading model of RAMM terminal" section on this page.

  • Orders [ show ]

RAMM supports a standard set of orders:

    • Buy Market (buying at the current market price).
    • Sell Market (selling at the current market price).
    • Buy Limit (a pending order to buy at the price, which is better than the current market price).
    • Sell Limit (a pending order to sell at the price, which is better than the current market price).
    • Buy Stop (a pending order to buy at the price, which is worse than the current market price).
    • Sell Stop (a pending order to sell at the price, which is worse than the current market price).

After market or pending orders are executed, they become transactions (positions). In RAMM platform, it is allowed to have several open positions in the same instrument with different volumes and opening prices, in the same or opposite directions.

Each position has to have the Stop Loss order and may have the Take Profit order.

  • Managing positions and orders in the terminal [ show ]

In RAMM terminal, there are several rules describing how to manage positions and orders.

    Orders:

    • You can’t modify placed pending orders, except for Take Profit of open positions and Stop Loss in the direction of cutting losses.
    • A pending order can be canceled at any moment until it is executed.

    Open positions:

    • You can place, modify, and delete the Take Profit order.
    • You can modify the Stop Loss order in the interval between the current market price and the Stop Loss level specified when a position was opened (Stop Out).

    Closing positions:

    • "Close" button allows to close all open positions and delete all pending orders.
    • Positions can’t be closed partially or with opposite positions.
  • Execution reports [ show ]

An execution report contains the detailed information about changes of your order status. There are two ways to download execution reports.

    • Go to the terminal, choose the required transaction, and click its number. In the appeared window, click the corresponding icon.
    • In "Strategies" section, choose "Download execution report". As a result, you’ll download execution reports for all positions of this strategy.
